Without much effort, you can also encourage your body to burn calories throughout the day at home, with the help of our really simple tricks.
Morning exercise on the go
Even if you don’t have time to visit the gym but want to boost your metabolism, set your alarm 15 minutes earlier than usual and use that time for a quick workout. Do a series of jumps, push-ups, sit-ups and squats to start burning calories. If you focus on exercise and make an effort, you can burn as many as 140 calories in a quarter of an hour, and consumption will continue throughout the day.
10 times one minute
During the day, try to find opportunities to speed up your heart rate for just one minute. Not only will this stimulate your metabolism to consume more calories, but the extra amount of oxygen will wake up your body, activate your lungs, heart and brain. In addition, this way you will burn an extra 300 to 400 calories a day! It is enough to get up every hour, warm up your muscles and do 10 squats or 10 lunges on the way to the bathroom.
People who stay in cold rooms consume more calories. So if you want to stimulate your metabolism, lower the temperature in the room where you most often stay. This way, in winter, you will not only lower your heating bill, but you will also increase your calorie consumption, even if you just sit and watch TV.
Get down on the ground
Instead of watching the popular series lying on the couch, sit on the floor. When you sit on a firm surface, your muscles are tense to give you the most comfortable position. In this way, they also consume more energy, ie calories – and you will burn a few extra ones while getting up.
Find ways to do more activities
Take each bag to the apartment separately, take the puppy for a slightly longer walk, and leave the car at home when you and your friend agree on a coffee (let it be sugar-free!).
